TeenSide Life Coaching (“TeenSide,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Overview
TeenSide is a life coaching platform that connects teens and young adults with trained coaches aged 21–29. We provide virtual coaching sessions, scheduling, communication, and payment processing through our web application.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our platform: clients (teens and young adults), parents and guardians, coaches, and visitors to our public website.
By using TeenSide, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Name, email address, and password when creating an account
- Role selection (Parent, Client, Coach) at signup
- Profile information, including bio, photo, and coaching specialties (coaches)
- Payment information processed through Stripe (we do not store card numbers)
- Messages and session notes within the platform
- Communication with TeenSide support
Information collected automatically
- Device type, operating system, and browser information
- IP address and approximate location (for timezone detection)
- Pages visited and features used within the app
- Session duration and engagement data
- Error logs and crash reports
Information from third-party services
- Authentication data from Supabase (our identity provider)
- Payment confirmation data from Stripe
- Video session metadata from Zoom (session duration, join time)
- Push notification tokens if you opt in to notifications
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Match clients with appropriate coaches
- Schedule, host, and track coaching sessions
- Process payments and send receipts
- Send transactional emails (session confirmations, reminders, password resets)
- Display your timezone correctly throughout the app
- Monitor platform safety and flag concerning content
- Improve the platform through aggregate usage analytics
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
5. Children & Minors (COPPA)
Important, minors
TeenSide serves users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account
- For users under 18, a parent or guardian must create the account and consent to the terms
- Parents can view their teen's session history and progress through their linked parent account
- Coaches never communicate with minors outside of scheduled, recorded sessions on the platform
- If we discover a user under 13 has created an account, we will delete it promptly
6. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active
- If you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days except where required by law
- Session records and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance
- Coach session notes are retained for the duration of the coaching relationship plus 12 months
7. Security
We take security seriously. TeenSide uses industry-standard measures to protect your data:
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Authentication is managed by Supabase with row-level security on all data
- Payment data is processed by Stripe, we never see or store full card numbers
- Access controls limit which team members can access user data
No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at teensidelifecoaching@gmail.com.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information in your profile
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of non-essential communications at any time
- Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis

10. Third-Party Services
TeenSide integrates with the following third-party services. Each has their own privacy policy:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll notify you by email or with an in-app notice. Continued use of TeenSide after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
